Our responsibility to you:

The members of the practice primary healthcare team are committed to providing the best
possible service to patients. In particular we aim to:

• Be polite and efficient
• Maintain confidentiality
• Offer you an appointment to see any of our doctors in an emergency.
• Offer advice and information on all aspects of healthcare and other related services and refer you to a consultant/second opinion when your GP agrees this is appropriate.
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Visit you at home if you are too ill or infirm to attend the surgery
• See any visiting family or friends who need medical help.

Your responsibility to us:

In order that we can provide the best possible service to our patients, we would ask that you
help us by:

• Being courteous to doctors, nurses and all other staff at all times – we are here to help you.
• Attending on time for appointments and letting us know if you are unable to attend. If we are running late, please be patient because on another occasion, it may be you who needs extra time.
• Remembering an appointment is for one person only; please do not ask for other members of the family to be seen at the same time.
• Telling us if you change your name, address or telephone number.
• Asking for a visit only when you feel this is really necessary. Facilities for examination and treatment are better at the surgery and the less time a doctor spends travelling, the more time there is available for patients.
• Following the advice offered. It may not always be necessary for you to have a prescription.
